History
Established in 1990 We've been serving clients' needs since 1988 when Randy Cohen started selling tickets as a student at The University of Texas at Austin. It was there Randy built a reputation as the guy to contact for tickets. Driven by a desire to do right by his customers, as well as a passion for sports and entertainment, Randy's customers came back to him again and again. It wasn't long before he had the desire to reach even more customers. So in 1990 TicketCity was born from that same high standard of customer service and passion for live events. Now with a multimillion dollar business, a 10,000 square foot office and more than 35 committed employees, we haven't changed our focus one bit. Providing each and every one of our loyal clients service beyond expectations remains our goal today.
Meet the Business Owner: Randy C.
Randy founded TicketCity in 1990 and has since grown it to be one of the most successful companies in the secondary ticket market. Under Randy's guidance, TicketCity has developed into one of the largest and most prominent ticketing companies, won numerous awards, and has been named one of the Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies in Austin six times. When TicketCity began, the internet was still unknown to most consumers, however, just six years later Randy led the company to launch the first e-commerce web site in the industry. Randy focuses on acquisitions and partnerships as well as being the Chief Energizing Officer for the company. He is active in the community and is a member of the Entrepreneurs Organization and MIT's Gathering of Titans. Randy is also a published author; his first book, Ticket to the Limit, is a personal account of how passion, purpose and performance can enable you to build a company from nothing to amazing while living all your wildest dreams along the way.
