Emmylou Harris gets romantic Emmylou Harris is hitting the movies this year in a big way by having her song featured in a new big-budget movie. Nights in Rodanthe is a romance based on the book by Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook and Message in a Bottle) and starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane. It hits theaters September 26th. Emmylou has had songs in movies before, but this will be the first time she's had a song she's written and performed in a movie. Filmmakers showed a rough cut of the movie to songwriters. Ticket.
