Our amazing trip day 10 (and days 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16) North Carolina Symphony, We left my father's house at 1:15 PM today and I was feeling sad as we drove away. It was great to be in Massachusetts again and it was wonderful to see everyone that we were able to see. But six days wasn't nearly long enough to do all the things we wanted to do. Cape Cod? Nope. Nantucket? Nope. Martha's Vineyard? Nope. Indulge on lobster? Nope. See my numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins? Nope. Nope. Nope. We did, however, eat large quantities of ice cream and having two hot fudge sundaes.

Charlotte in My Rearview Mirror Well, it's official. I am no longer a Charlottean. Today was the closing on our house.  Last week, we moved into our new house in Pembroke Pines, FL.  Apart from the occasional visit to our friends in Charlotte and visits to our vacation place in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Carolinas are no longer home. NC Symphony on the Green ticket brokers, NC Symphony on the Green Category: North Carolina Last night, my daughter and I went to hear the NC Symphony at the Green here in Southern Village. The entire square was packed (a couple of thousand people?). It was very enjoyable and an interesting choice of pieces. What was more interesting, and I am not sure I liked it, is the chosen ORDER of the pieces. The first half was filled with classics, the second half with pop stuff, including some not-well-known pieces. I am not sure that worked.
