Cassettes free to a good home Getting my IPod yesterday prompted me to copy some songs from my CDs onto it. Guess what I took with.cery store today! It made it soooo much funner! This afternoon/evening I went through my 400+ cassettes. I found songs that I liked on the cassettes and then bought them from itunes. I bought about 90 songs. It was funny seeing the phases I went through. I used to buy a lot of music. When I got into a band/singer, I really got into them and bought everything I could find by them. Word of the Day Weird Al Yankovic estate, I learned a new word today, nerdcore. Here's how the Urban Dictionary defines it: Any form of music that is made by nerds, for nerds, or about nerdly things. Nerdcore can be made in any style of music, but most people identify it in either its pop-punk or hip-hop forms. "Weird Al" Live I got a free ticket to see .".Weird.".Yankovic in concert Tuesday night and thought it would be fun, even though I wasn't into him at all. The seats were great, maybe 30 feet from the stage, and he came out into the audience to sing. Between songs they played skits and interviews while the band put on different costumes. By the middle of the show, I had tears coming out of my eyes from laughing so hard. Plus, the band is actually really, really talented. You should see them if you get the chan.
