Burns' Elbow Brent Burns had elbow surgery this week! Apparently it was just a preventative measure, but I hope he heals quickly and is ready to be back on the ice in five weeks. That's a pretty serious move for a young professional athlete. He's been having trouble with the elbow since late in the season last year into the playoffs, and it sounds like the Minnesota Wild don't want to see the injury get worse, forcing him to sit out four or five weeks during the actual season to have surgery.
